The Nomic ice ax from Petzl is a legend in the climbing community and has helped set standards for climbing axes in several editions. The ax is perfect for alpine and mixed climbing, as well as traditional ice climbing. The ergonomic and adjustable handle can be held in several different ways, without affecting the blade during movement. The PUR'ICE blade provides optimal grip in all types of ice, and makes it easy to get the ax out of the ice when moving.
The modular ax head has two removable weights that provide extra swing power. Nomic can also be used with a hammer head when placing bolts.
