The idea for the Scrubba laundry bag was sparked in 2010 when founder Ash Newland took a break from his job and decided to climb Kilimanjaro. During the planning, he realized that it would not be possible to bring enough clothes without having to wash them. Then he realized that washboards have been used for centuries and that led to the idea of ​​integrating a modern washboard into a waterproof bag and changing the way laundry is done on the go.
