The Universal Axe X-Series X18 is an axe from Fiskars. It is compact and balances performance with the body for smooth one-handed use. The innovative head, made of sharp steel, is designed to split wood efficiently. The steel is also double-hardened so that the precision-ground edge stays sharp longer. The customized blade angle provides easy and clean cuts even in fresh, resinous wood.

A friction-reducing coating allows the head to glide more easily through the wood while protecting against rust. The axe head is overmolded to prevent it from separating from the handle. The axes in the X-series™ are almost impossible to break, thanks to the extremely strong yet lightweight FiberComp™ handles that absorb shock and provide excellent overstrike protection. The handle is ergonomically designed to keep the wrist in a neutral position and features SoftGrip™ with strategic texture for higher comfort and better control.
