Katadyn Combi combines a silver impregnated ceramic filter with a refillable carbon filter. You can use the Combi even without carbon filter, but is recommended if the water is chemically contaminated or tastes / smells bad. The ceramic filter's capacity is up to 50,000 liters, depending on water quality. The activated carbon  can handle up 200 liters, but must be used in 6 months, regardless of how much water you purified. The included hose is 110 cm long to easily reach the water source and is equipped with a float and a pre-filter that filters out the largest particles.

 

Combi is highly effective against bacteria, protozoa and other nasty things. But! If you have the slightest suspicion of viruses, you must use chemical cleaning as well. For example Micropur Forte.

Storage case, cleaning sponge, silicone grease, dipstick (to know when it is time to replace the ceramic filter), two rounds of activated carbon, water bottle adapter and instructions are included.
